Bulgia Life Rafts Inspected by VCU Safetycentre

VCU Safetycentre has inspected the life rafts of the training vessel Bulgia (formerly P803). Following the inspection, the life-saving equipment once again complies with current maritime safety requirements, ensuring the vessel is fully prepared for the upcoming sailing season. Regular inspections help keep the life rafts in optimal condition, ensuring they can be relied upon whenever they are needed.

Properly functioning life-saving equipment is an essential part of onboard safety. Regular maintenance and inspections are crucial to ensure the performance and reliability of these safety systems. During the inspection, the life rafts were checked in accordance with the applicable regulations, ensuring that the Bulgia once again complies with current maritime safety requirements.

The Bulgia serves as the training vessel of the Alkmaar Sea Cadet Corps and plays an important role in educating young maritime talents. On board, the sea cadets gain hands-on experience of life at sea while developing practical skills in navigation, safety, and teamwork. Reliable life-saving equipment is essential in supporting a safe learning environment for everyone on board.

With the successful inspection, VCU Safetycentre contributes to the safety and continuity of the Alkmaar Sea Cadet Corps’ sailing activities. We wish the crew and all sea cadets safe voyages and a successful sailing season.
