VEVC
On January 24, 1990, the United Dutch Fisheries Cooperatives (VNVC) was founded in Sneek. In 1997, the name was changed to VEVC, United European Fisheries Cooperatives, due to the inclusion of foreign fisheries cooperatives.
The VEVC is a partnership between ten fisheries cooperatives in the Netherlands. Its goal is to combine the material needs of the fisheries cooperatives in order to obtain a competitive product that meets the requirements of the fishing industry, shipping, water sports, and industrial sectors.
On the other hand, the VEVC also serves as a consultative body to respond promptly to market changes, exchange experiences, and initiate activities. Its main focus is always to provide continuous optimal service to its more than 650 affiliated members.
The current members of the VEVC are:

CIV Harlingen
CIV Lauwersoog
