For positioning the HEBO-P100 pontoon at a gas platform, HEBO Maritiemservice enlisted the help of VCU Maritime, a partner within Urk Maritime.
On-site, the steel wires with a capacity of 100 tons per wire were wound under tension, and the required sockets were cast on location.
With our fully equipped service vehicles, fitted with a truck-mounted crane and hydraulic reel machines, we carry out these kinds of operations quickly and accurately — worldwide and under a wide range of conditions.
For this project, VCU handled the supply, winding of the steel wire, and installation of the required end fittings. Inspection, maintenance, and finishing are also part of our capabilities, tailored to the situation and on-site needs.
In the video, Antonie Weerstand from HEBO talks about this collaboration.
