For cutter O-231 Den Hoope of Rederij De Viertorre, VCU TCD has built two completely renewed SumWings. This latest generation was designed by HFK Engineering, with the focus on maximum efficiency, minimal seabed impact, and optimal reliability.

New squid net from VCU increases catch area by 30%

VCU Maritime has developed an innovative squid net that opens up to 30% higher than traditional nets. The design is applicable to various net configurations and suitable as an upgrade for existing nets. The first net has been produced and is ready for deployment in the upcoming squid season.
